The Debut.
Bonjour. This is ‘The Début (Origin; French. noun. le début. meaning beginning, start, first.) of Flower Field Notes.
A blog by written by yours truly. A place to share stories, inspiration and also satisfy a need to improve my abysmal SEO metrics.
All day long I’m consuming digital media - (mostly in the format of Instagram and Pinterest because I’m a millennial) and there’s a lot out there for grabs. Sometimes I feel like I’ve lost my capacity for form an original thought and am just parroting what I hear. In general, I think the culture needs a reset because we’re suffering from a lack of authentic opinions - but that’s a whole other Substack blog for some social commentator…So I’ll just stick to what I know best - florals.
While I typically express myself through flowers and my designs - I want to do a better job of contributing to the floral world. Hopefully this blog will be a place to challenge myself to share, connect and create conversations. Whether you're a fellow small business owner in the industry, someone hunting for Big Day floral ideas, or a friend - I’m so glad you’re here.
In this space, you’ll find a mix of everything floral—from wedding trend forecasting, gorgeous event highlights, some behind-the-scenes stories from our creative process, DIY ideas and random musings. I want to create a blog that inspires you with floral possibilities, whether you’re planning a big event or simply looking for new ways to bring fresh blooms into your life.
As I begin this blog journey, I want to thank you for joining me on this new adventure! These first few keystrokes aren’t coming to me as naturally as I would like, but with time I pray my thoughts become my fluid.
As for my grammar and syntax - blame it on CrowdStrike.
I look forward to sharing my passion with you, along with a tricks of the trade, some of my favorite flowers and lots of stunning inspiration. If you’re interested in specific topics, have questions about floral designs, or are simply here to enjoy the beauty of blooms, please feel free to reach out. I’d love to hear from you!
